Veteran journalist Sandesh Prabhudesai to feature in GUJ’s ‘Behind The Byline’ series
Veteran journalist and former editor of Sunaparant, Sandesh Prabhudesai, will be celebrated in ‘Behind The Byline’, know your GUJ member series, on Friday, May 23.
Prabhudesai will be in conversation with Gauree Malkarnekar (Assistant Metro Editor- The Times of India and GUJ executive committee member) at the GUJ hall, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, 4pm.
Prabhudesai’s career spanning four decades has earned him plenty of admirers. Beginnning as a city correspondent in Margao, he has travelled through all fields of journalism, may it be Print, TV and Digital, at local, national and even interntional levels, in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and English. After retiring from day-to-day journalism in 2020, he is now into Book Journalism, while continue his Print and Video journalism through his Goa's first news website - goanews.com.
He has worked as a Correspondent, Reporter, Chief Reporter, State correspondent for National & International Media (BBC), TV Anchor as well as Editor of Newspapers and TV channels.
Prabhudesai has 10 books to his credit, in Konkani, Marathi and English including couple of translations and a poetry collection, besides non-fiction.
He is also the recipient of several awards in journalism and literature.
