Film Screening and Discussion: Ancessao
Ancessao, written and directed by Manguirish Jagdish Bandodkar, is a moving portrait of an elderly Goan woman living in isolation. As loneliness and regret shape her days, she finds comfort in gossip and in becoming entangled in the lives of those around her. Through her seemingly ordinary conversations, the film reveals deeper questions of ageing, companionship, guilt, and the emotional realities of growing old.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with actor Prashanti Talpankar on the making of the film, its portrayal of contemporary Goan society, and the stories that often remain unseen within everyday life.
