Stories of Love, Equality & Justice: Film Screening and Discussion

Join us for a screening of Mahanagar, Satyajit Ray’s acclaimed film on gender, labour, dignity, and social change. More than six decades after its release, the film remains deeply relevant through its sensitive portrayal of care, independence, and everyday negotiations with family and society.

Following the screening, author Harsh Mander will lead a conversation on storytelling and empathy in cinema, exploring how films can deepen our understanding of one another and create spaces for compassion, dialogue, and reflection.
